Bylaws
ARTICLE I
Election of Officers
Section 1: Immediately after this association is formed and by-laws have been adopted by the charter members, election of officers will take place. These officers shall serve until the annual meeting June, after the newly elected officers are installed. Thereafter all officers of this association shall be elected at the annual meeting in April of each year and shall take their respective offices at the regular meeting in June following their installation at the June meeting.
Section 2: At a regular meeting in February of each year, a nominating committee of three shall be selected, two of these named by the President and one by the members present at the February meeting. The nominations committee shall prepare a list of nominees for each office of the association, and submit this list at the regular meeting in April. At the regular meeting balloting for the respective officers will take place. Nothing in these by-laws shall prevent nomination of officers from the floor.
Section 3: In the event a vacancy occurs in any of the offices, it shall be filled as soon as possible following a meeting at which the vacancy is announced. The nominating committee shall recommend a nominee for this office to be voted on by ballot at the next regular meeting by the members present at said meeting.
ARTICLE II
Duties of Officers
Section 1: The regular term of all officers shall commence at the regular meeting in June following installation.
Section 2: The President shall be Chairman of the Board of Directors and shall preside at all meeting to include committee meetings. The President shall not serve more than four consecutive one year terms.
Section 3: The First Vice President shall be a Director and perform the duties of the President in his or her absence. This office shall perform other duties as may be assigned by the President.
Section 4: The Second Vice President shall be a Director and perform other duties as may be assigned by the President.
Section 5: The Secretary shall keep all records of the association, amendments to the constitution and by-laws and register all members on a roll.
Section 6: The Treasurer shall keep an accurate, classified listed of members together with their addresses. He or she shall handle all finances of the association and shall submit a written "Annual Financial Statement of Condition."
ARTICLE III
Committees
Section 1: The President shall appoint and be a member ex officio of all committees deemed necessary.
ARTICLE IV
Dues
Section 1: Active membership dues shall be $10.00 per annum payable on January 1 of each year. Members shall be deleted from the membership rolls on June 1 of each year for non payment of dues. The Treasurer shall notify the members by mail one month prior to June 1 regarding their dues not payment status with a final dues notice. New retirees who are added to membership rolls shall not have dues payable until January 1 following their retirement.
ARTICLE V
Meetings
Section 1: An annual meeting of the members of this association shall be held on the second Tuesday in April at 1:00 p. m. of each year.
Section 2: Regular monthly meetings of the association shall be held on the second Tuesday of February, June, August, October, and December at 1:00 p. m. unless it conflicts with legal holidays or the regular meeting facilities are not available. The President shall select the meeting day when conflicts occur. Luncheon meetings shall commence at 12 noon and the business meeting shall commence at 1:00 p. m.
ARTICLE VI
Amendments
Section 1: These By-laws may be amended at any regular or properly called meetings of the association by an affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members present, provided that the proposed amendment is presented at the last regular meeting.
